The world has become more and more connected through global travel, internationalization of companies and organizations working towards the common goal of creating better environments for people with different cultural backgrounds. This presentation is focused on providing tips for enhancing international literacy and cross-cultural communication which will allow engineers to be successful in the global community. Suggestions are provided for how students can be successful while studying and working abroad.  Finally, some differences between USA and China teaching methods are discussed.
